The craft

Three rules we pour by.

A clean, even burn

Coconut–soy wax with cotton or wooden wicks, each one tested to burn edge to edge — never tunnelling down the middle.

Scent that stays honest

Phthalate-free fragrance at a 9% load, rested for a full fourteen-day cure so every note reads true to the last hour.

Time you can measure

Every blend is burn-tested past forty hours before it earns a place in the collection. The label says what the test said.

Every jar is hand-labelled and poured in runs of forty. Pick a family to narrow the shelf, or open a candle for its full note pyramid.

Our story

Poured by hand, one small batch at a time.

Ember & Sage began on a kitchen stove in 2026 — one thermometer, one jug of coconut–soy wax and a stubborn idea: a candle should smell like the place you want to be. Every jar is still blended, poured, cured and labelled by the two of us in southeast Portland.
